الأردن يلغي تحفظه على الفقرة الرابعة من المادة 15 من اتفاقية سيداو
عمان - الغى الأردن تحفظه على الفقرة 4 من المادة 15 من اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة "سيداو"، بحسب الامين العام للجنة الوطنية لشؤون المرأة أسمى خضر.
وتنص هذه الفقرة، التي وافقت رئاسة الوزراء على الغاء تحفظ المملكة عليها أول من أمس، على أن "تمنح الدول الاطراف الرجل والمرأة نفس الحقوق فيما يتعلق بالقانون المتصل بحركة الاشخاص وحرية اختيار محل سكناهم واقامتهم".

But doesn't this need some sort of approval by the so called parliament,
don't they need to change the relevant legislation ?

I am not really sure, the news line said this point came up because having reservations over it is against the Jordanian's constitution in the first place.
What I got is that the reservation against this point was annulled, and why would they need to change the relevant legislation when it was the reason for the reservation annulment in the first place?
I read this yesterday! It made my day! Way to go Jordanian Women :)
